Originally created for the Club House of the Golf Club at Carimate in Como, Italy, this chair merges Scandinavian influences with a modern reinterpretation of traditional wooden and straw seating. Stendig was a manufacturing and importing company responsible for introducing European modern design into the USA between 1955 and 1976.
We have taken these back to the raw beechwood and re-stained with a black stain, followed by a lacquer. We have maintained the integrity of the design, refinishing with products and colours that align with the original piece's finish. The original red stain remains inside the inner frame of the chairs.
ORIGIN: Made in Finland by Stendig, 1970's.
