Verner Panton designed Amoebe Highback as a variation of the Amoebe chair. The expressive, high backrest of Amoebe Highback extends forward to form a roof-like structure, enveloping the sitter with a sense of protection and shelter.
This low, organically curved armchair was originally designed by Panton in two variants for the Visiona 2 exhibition. A plastic shell with integrated foam upholstery gave the chair its rigid structure.
Colour: Night Blue.
Material: Vitra "Volo" new wool: 85%, polyamide: 15%.
Backrest: laminated frame.
Upholstery: polyurethane foam.
