Tufted lounge chair designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. Made in High Point North Carolina, 1966. Original order slip still intact on the underside of the chair. This unique muted red leather has aged beautifully, with even fading throughout. From 1953 to 2003, Thayer Coggin and Milo Baughman collaborated on designs, engineering and manufacturing techniques that came to define the mid-century modern era of American residential furniture. Baughman's work was included in "Good Design" at the MoMA, "High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design" at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
