Ultrafragola Mirror

The Ultrafragola mirror by Ettore Sottsass was originally produced in the 1970s and is one of the Italian designer's most iconic designs. This mirror is a symbolic design of the postmodern era and is made of formed opaline white acrylic exterior and concealed neon tubes in the interior. The tubular lights give the shell a pink glow when switched on.

Ultrafragola mirror/lamp, with its sinuous profile that suggests long wavy hair, belongs to the Mobili Grigi series of complete bedroom and living room furnishings designed by Ettore Sottsass for Poltronova and presented at the third edition of Eurodomus in 1970. With the exception of Ultrafragola, the models never got beyond the prototype phase.

This is a numbered re-edition piece with authenticity plate on the underside of the mirror.
